The Golden Rule

Sam explained the process that Leads Everyday’s most successful customers use to convert new carpet cleaning leads into new business.

The golden rule for carpet cleaners is – don’t quote over the phone.

In April, before he spoke to Sam, Svajunas was giving prices over the phone. If someone rung up asking how much it would cost to clean one carpet, he’d tell them. They’d thank him very much, ring off – and he wouldn’t hear from them again.

Were they ringing carpet cleaner No2 on their list asking if he would do for ten pence less.

Svajunas says: “Sam explained that it was all about getting in front of the customer and building a relationship. Yes, I could clean one carpet – but don’t you need that one doing as well? How about if I do them both and the stairs with a discount for having them all done at once?

“Sam said that he understood it meant taking more time on each individual enquiry – but look at how much it has paid off.”
